  1. I design and build 3d printers, teach a course at the local university in doing so. I have seen MANY clones of this kind of extruder, but this is the first one that has given so much trouble out of the box. The problems all stem from poor reverse-engineering.1. The tensioning spring has an ID that is too small for the screw that it’s supposed to sit on. It resists assembly. I had to steal a spring from another unit (different maker).2.
